Administrative/Secretarial Postions

 
Surgical Coder:
 
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) surgery coding (bariatric, cardiac, colorectal, general, minimally invasive, oncology, thoracic, trauma, and vascular), educating providers and staff of coding changes. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 
 
Requirements: 5+ years experience with surgical coding. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Certification by at least one of the following: The American Academy of Professional Coders: Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPC-A) or American Health Information Association: Certified Coder Specialist-Physician (CCS-P).
